The Legal Research Center is open 24/7 for studying!
Circulation desk services (reserves, study rooms, etc.) will be available during the following hours:

We will not be requiring seat reservations for the main library floor, but we ask you to please continue to make seat reservations for seats in designated quiet areas and study rooms. Please see the FAQ for more information.

  • Jenkins Law Library

Law school/paralegal students can join Jenkins for a quiet place to study and for access to our on-site resources. Rates are $25 per year for law school students and $20 annually for paralegal students. Students must apply in-person. Valid student ID required.

Open to the public, the library has limited study spaces, but a wide selection of law-themed print materials. Please note: There is no public computer access; wifi only.

    Take the Manayunk/Norristown Line to Norristown Transportation Center, then walk .2 miles)

Open to the public with available Westlaw and Lexis/Nexis stations as well as general computer services. Holds a large collection of print law materials.

Open to the public. Holds wide-ranging reference material on local, state, and federal law.

NCBE: National Conference of Bar Examiners – Develop the UBE, MBE, MEE AND MPT

BOLE, BLE: Board of Law Examiners – Administer the bar exam and license attorneys in each jurisdiction after you apply and pass the character and fitness investigation

UBE: Uniform Bar Exam (administered in approximately 40 jurisdictions as of July 2021)

MBE -- Multi-state Bar Exam – The 200-question multiple-choice section of the UBE. Covers 7 subject areas. Administered on the last Tuesday of Feb. & July in all but 2 jurisdictions (Puerto Rico & Louisiana).

MEE: Multistate Essay Exam – 6 Essays on the UBE; 30 minutes each, single subject

MPT: Multistate Performance Test – 2 MPTs; 90 minutes each

MPRE: Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam – 60 multiple-choice questions
