The Environmental Protection Agency is one of the principal agencies responsible for federal environmental law. They have drafted summaries of the laws and executive orders that they are charged with administering, including the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, Superfund, the Endangered Species Act, and many more.
Federal environmental regulations are principally located in Title 40 (Protection of Environment) and Title 50 (Wildlife and Fisheries) of the Code of Federal Regulations, but may be found in other titles of the C.F.R. as well.
Proposed rules, rule amendments, and other information from the EPA can be found in the Federal Register.
