Delaware Administrative Law Research: DE Public Service Commission

Overview

The Delaware Public Services Commission regulates the state’s “investor-owned public utilities” in such areas as cable, electricity, natural gas, wastewater, water and telecommunications.  The Commission also seeks to provide a “level playing field” for those services which are being introduced to competitive markets.

There are several outlet’s for the Commission’s decisions.  The Commission’s older site only provides access to its decisions from 2005 to 2015.  A newer site called Delafile has more recent decisions, some older ones and a docketing system of information.  Lexis’s database has decisions from 1981 to the present.  West’s database goes back as far as 1953 and has related court cases stemming back to 1912.
