Reference/Research Help

Our research librarians, who have backgrounds in both library science and law, are available to:

  • Help locate relevant resources (books, articles, and more);
  • Advise in the development of effective research strategies;
  • Review the legal research methodology used for finding cases, statutes and other materials;
  • Offer tips on effective use of Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, and other electronic databases.

Research assistance will be available in person in the LRC during the below times. Just ask at the circulation desk if you do not see a reference librarian.

  • Monday-Friday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

You can also make an individual appointment with a librarian for research assistance through our reservation system.

Reference help will also be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday via our online chat service, available here (or through the chat boxes in this guide) or through text message at 267.310.2754.

Library Operations (Circulation/Access Services)

Our Library Operations (LibOps) staff can help you with many LRC issues.  Visit the circulation desk to check out books on reserve or a study room. They can also answer your questions about printing and copying.

Can't find what you are looking for in the LRC?  Try Inter-Library Loan.  You can sometimes borrow books and other materials from another library if we don't have what you need.  You can place a request online using ILLiad.  If you have any questions about the ILL process, contact Margaret DeFelice at mpd86@drexel.edu or 215.571.4724.

Leisure Reading Collection

Need a break from your case books? Check out one of the books from our leisure reading (and comics!) section. It's located on the right side of the main reading room, next to the Drexel Hideout cubicles. Here is just a sample of the books in our leisure collection.
