Teaching & Learning Resources: Accessibility

A guide to educational resources for teaching and learning in law school.

Blackboard Ally

Blackboard Ally is a tool that allows faculty to see feedback about the accessibility of course content, as well as provide descriptions and instructions regarding issues and remediation, all within Drexel Learn. Blackboard Ally also provides students with alternate format options for certain content types, like audio files for text-based documents.

Once Ally has been activated in a course, faculty will begin to see colored gauges to the left of content that has been scanned by the system. Clicking on these gauges open an overlay that identify accessibility issues with the content, why accessibility for the file is important, and how to improve accessibility. Faculty in courses with Ally activated also gain access to a course-wide report that offers an overview of a course's accessibility issues.
