Checklist for Emergency Remote Teaching

When preparing to provide emergency remote instruction:

  1. Develop a communication plan to share course content, conduct class discussions, and provide virtual office hours.
  2. Review course materials for accessibility and off-campus access.
  3. Create flexible and alternative methods for content delivery and pedagogy. 
  4. Redesign and clarify class policies and expectations.
  5. Redesign assessment of student performance.
  6. Reach out to an instructional designer and/or a librarian for help modifying your course plan for remote teaching.
